The Post Office has announced a public consultation on its plans to re-locate the Post Office in Townland Stores.
The Post Office will carry out a 6-week consultation, informing customers and other organisations on its proposals. It has asked the Parish Council to share information with other key community outlets such as the Information Centre, notice boards, GP Surgery etc
The consultation started on 2nd October 2018 and will end on 13th November. It will ask specific questions on areas where the Post Office would like feedback on access to its services and will confirm when the change will happen if the decision is taken to proceed. The proposed month of change will be January/February 2019
The proposed change will, according to the Post Office, provide longer opening hours, a low screened, open-plan Post Office service point integrated in to the retail counter and a wide range of Post Office services. The Post welcomes all feedback with the following factors being taken into account.
- Customer access to, into and inside the new or alternative branch with particular regard to vulnerable customers
- Any local community issues which could be affected by or affect the proposal
A Woodchurch Post Office Information Sheet supplied by the Post Office can be viewed in the Information Centre.
